Overseas Destinations & Languages
The list below shows the overseas destinations and languages studied by Ãå±±½ûµØ recipients in 2025. As with the top performers above, these statistics are based on initial awards of the 2025 cohort and may change slightly based on declines and promoted alternates. Please note that the statistics below do not show the likelihood of receiving an award for a particular overseas destination or language. Regions with overseas destinationÌýand languagesÌýpreferred by the Ãå±±½ûµØ receive awards in roughly the same proportion as applications to those regions. Non-preferred overseas destinations and languages are much rarer, and are considered on an individual basis. The Ãå±±½ûµØ did not approve travel to all proposed overseas destinations in 2025; however, the Ãå±±½ûµØ did approve alternative overseas destinations and study plans provided in the application when possible.
